rewarding loyalty

As the saying goes, ‘the best things in life are free’. Evidently, whoever said that must have had the free offers at my Yoga for Men classes in mind! I know men often need all the encouragement in the world to bravely step onto a yoga mat. My free first class offer has proven time and again to be enough to tip the balance in favour of a man starting his yoga journey with me. Of course, it’s not enough to do yoga once – after all, as the saying goes, ‘practice makes… progress’. And, many of the guys that get a taste of yoga at their first class, like it so much they keep coming back for more.

What ‘sweetens the deal’ for their return is the offer of a YogaDad loyalty card. For every paid for class, I stamp the card, and once completed with 9 stamps, I offer a free 10th class. Guys like Norman pictured have completed many cards since joining my classes, and he’s not alone. I often joke that as they get close to completing a card, I’m going to cancel the offer. In all seriousness though, I love to put the final stamp on a card. It’s not just the card’s been completed, or that there’s a free class. It’s more that that – something tangible that demonstrate a commitment to their yoga practice, and a commitment to my classes which I never take for granted with so much else on offer.

You too can be like Norman in holding a completed card in your hand, beaming from ear to ear. To take that first step only requires you to commit an hour to put yourself first, and you’re on your way.
