Thanks to all the guys (& YogaTwins!) that joined my final Yoga for Men class of the year in Keynsham, Bristol on Monday night.

The theme for this month has been ‘Slow Ho Ho’ using our yoga practice as the perfect counter to the ‘busy-ness’ of the season. I played around with different tempos of movements and breath work to both energise and enable a deeper rest by the end of class.

Last night’s class also wrapped up my festive fundraiser for local charity, Julian House. Together we raised an incredible £610 which will help Julian House to deliver its life saving work for some of our most vulnerable members of society. Whether they be rough sleepers, people fleeing domestic violence, refugees or anyone else in a crisis situation. Julian House is there to catch them before they fall. One of the reasons I love to support Julian House is because they don’t just put a roof over someone’s head, they provide those that they support with hope and purpose for a brighter future.

Thanks to men’s mental fitness charity Talk Club who I’ve also partnered over the past year. Every week, we’ve adopted the Talk Club structure to its listening circles. Asking the guys ‘how are you? Out of 10?’ at the start and end of each class to represent how they felt. Judging by the scores last night, it was another example of how much of a positive impact an hour’s yoga had had on their day.

Sending you the very best wishes for the festive season, and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024.
