thinking outside the recycling box

I saw a brilliant Instagram reel from Breathpod recently. It was about how easily we can find ourselves rushing around in life at a million miles an hour. Then, how just through taking one deep diaphragmatic (belly) breath, we can remind ourselves of the importance of slowing down, still getting everything done, but to do so with less stress.
I got me thinking about the times in my life when I’m racing around struggling to catch my breath. I’m sure that I’m not alone in saying the school run is a biggie.
More often than not it feels like I’m holding my breath from the moment I’m serving up breakfast to arriving at the school gates. When I’m stuck in traffic heightened emotions can easily go into overdrive. So, recognising what’s going on inside, and taking my cues from what’s around me to slow down and take a deep breath – such as on the back of a recycling truck – can be just what I need to turn the school run into a s’cool run.
